Our Vision + Purpose
Our goal at Mid-Cities is to connect women with other women in life giving relationships. Our lives are often full of superficial relationships but we are called to more than that. God made us for intimate connection with Him and with others. We believe women who are in heart to heart relationships with God and other women live fuller, more productive lives on every level.
Every women's event or program at Mid-Cities is designed to help women grow in their walk with the Lord and in their effectiveness as women - whether as mothers, wives, single adults, friends, or professionals. Each is designed to help women connect with others for encouragement, personal growth, and friendship. We are not a church of perfect people. Instead, we are looking for imperfect women whom God is calling and who need His touch in their lives.
Opportunities to Connect
Women's Discipleship Groups
Our women meet regularly in small groups for vision-based Bible studies and life application. The groups meet in Midland and Odessa in homes, offices and at the church for mutual encouragement, time in the Word of God, prayer, and loving accountability. They may be women of the same age or with considerable age diversity. Some are groups of married women, single women, or groups with a mixture of both.
Girl's Night Out
Once a year, our women's ministry hosts an evening where women come together to meet other women, share desserts and light snacks, hear a challenging word from a gifted speaker, and discuss the message that has been shared. Whether you are brand new to Mid-Cities or a long time member, you can deepen your relationships with God and other women through Girls Night Out.
Titus 2 Mentoring Groups
Many of us have had to learn essential lessons of life and faith through trial and error. Others have found that mentors or coaches can make all the difference and cut years off our maturing process.
This 6-month program is designed to allow spiritually mature women to mentor younger women (married or single) in the foundational truths of the faith as well as in the practical application of scripture to life, marriage, and parenting. It also connects women to other women in lasting friendships with Christ at the center. If you are looking for connection and spiritual mentors for your life and faith, Titus2 is for you.
There will be a kickoff event for all Titus2 groups on Wednesday, December 7. After that, groups will meet in Midland/Odessa on Mondays/Thursdays beginning on Monday, January 9/ Thursday, January 12 and finish with a retreat on June 16-17.
Cost is $25.00 You must register no later than Wednesday, November 30. Email Susan Vermillion to learn more about these groups.
