Birthright of Odessa
Birthright is unique and committed to offering free, non-judgmental help to women facing unplanned pregnancies. Birthright offers love, hope and support to each woman, to help her make a realistic plan for her future and the future of her unborn child. Birthright of Odessa is a crisis pregnancy center whose goal is to help girls and women find the help they need during their pregnancy. We do pregnancy tests, give referrals for financial and medical help, find housing as well as resources for any other needs they may have. We want to help them find the help they need to make a good plan for their baby and not yield to the pressure to choose abortion.
Volunteers, new baby clothing, and gently used maternity clothing are needed at their location at 2125 E. 42nd St., Odessa. Open weekdays from 10:00am-5:00pm..

FOOD 2 KIDS
Food 2 Kids is a program of The Odessa Junior League in partnership with The West Texas Food Bank and The Education Foundation. The mission of Food 2 Kids is to feed hungry children who do not eat a regular meal between their lunch at school on Friday and their breakfast at school on Monday. Currently, Food 2 Kids feeds 1,100 children in Ector County each semester. But there are more children who need our help! We need your support to expand our program to reach every hungry child in ECISD!
Volunteers needed to sack lunches at 5:30 p.m. every first & third Wednesday of the month. Their location is 201 South Lincoln, Odessa.

The Genesis Center
The Genesis Center of the Permian Basin is a faith-based women's and children's shelter which houses victims of domestic violence and child abuse, or any woman/child who finds themselves homeless. Often these ladies are alcoholics or drug abusers as a result of their circumstances. Our program is one year in length with the ultimate goal of restoration: first and foremost, restored to God through Jesus, then restored into society as a contributor to God’s Kingdom.
Volunteers needed to help sort through donations and price them, and to manage the shelves in their Thrift Store, which is located at 301 E. Illinois, Midland.

Habitat for Humanity-Midland
Habitat for Humanity International is a non-profit, ecumenical Christian organization dedicated to eliminating poverty housing worldwide. Habitat works in partnership with people in need building simple decent shelter that is sold to them at no profit, through no-interest loans. To date, this organization has built over 175,000 homes worldwide, providing adequate housing for more than 100,000,000 people. Midland Habitat for Humanity was founded in 1991 by Don Hellinghausen, Father Jon Stasney and Chris Davidson. Since that time over a hundred houses have been built, providing a home for more than 500 people.
Volunteers are welcome to take part in construction, develop church relations, fundraise, and work within the ReSTORE, a retail outlet for donated building supplies and household goods.

The Life Center
The Life Center is a faith-based, alternative to abortion, non-profit organization promoting sexual integrity for life. We reach out to our community by teaching prevention education in the schools, helping through an unexpected pregnancy and healing for restoration. All our services and programs are free of charge.

Mission Messiah is a life skills and leadership training program for women and women with children that have found themselves in dire straits. Their intent is for an individual to come to know who they are in Christ and who Christ is in them in order to live the abundant, victorious life Christ has won for us. When a woman comes to the mission she has often found herself in the bondage of drugs, alcohol, prescription medication, abusive relationships, etc. Mission Messiah is 80% volunteer driven. There are always opportunities for volunteering at the mission.
Volunteers needed to work with our children, teach, counsel, maintenance, and a variety of opportunities in our work training centers at Zip and WOW. We have a volunteer profile to help understand an individuals desires, and to help align them in their most effective position.

Serving as lead agency for the Odessa Homeless Coalition, Odessa Links is the only organization in the City of Odessa with a license to HMIS-Homeless Managment Information System. Odessa Links is responding to the inability to provide continuum of care services to homeless individuals which has been identified as a prevailing problem in producing favorable outcomes for the homeless population. Odessa Links provides service agencies with the HMIS component to offer comprehensive case management to all their clients, including homeless individuals.
